Federal Work Study (FWS)
The Federal Work Study Program provides on-campus
and off-campus part-time employment for undergraduate and graduate
students with financial need. This program encourages community
service work and work related to the students course of study.
Community service employment allows students to work with various
local non-profit, governmental and community-based organizations.
The amount of assistance available for FWS at UTPA is
dependent upon the amount of money allocated to the university on a
yearly basis by the U.S. Department of Education.
