Work-Study Orientations

Note:  Orientations are for students that have already been awarded Work-Study. If you have not been awarded you must request it and have been awarded before you attend an orientation. Students must have an activated UTPA email account, picture ID and Social Security Card in order to attend the Work-Study Orientation.

To sign up:

Ø      Go to the calendar

Ø    Click on the desired date Click on “Check Seat Availability and Register”

Ø      and enter the required information

 To request Work-Study:

Ø     Go to www.utpa.edu/finaid

Ø     Click on the “Additional Financial Aid Request Form (On-line)”

Ø     Enter the required information and submit.

Students can contact the IT Service Desk at 956-318-5346 or go to ASB Rm 1.102 for assistance in activating their UTPA email account. Orientations will be held in Student Union Palmetto Room unless otherwise noted. Should location change, all attendees will be notified by email and/or telephone.

Individuals needing special accommodations should contact Jael Garcia at (956) 381-2408 or workstudy@panam.edu no later than 3 days prior to each session.

Students must be on time to each session. Anyone arriving more than 10 minutes after the session begins will not be admitted.
