Military: NATO Forces

Program Purpose

To enable an individual in the state in accordance with the agreement between the parties to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and his/her spouse and children to enroll in public institutions in Texas while paying the resident tuition.  For more information visit the states website: www.collegefortexans.com.

Qualifications

To be eligible to apply for this program a student must be an individual who is a member of a family in Texas in accordance with the agreement between the parties to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

Award Amount

This program permits nonresident students to pay tuition and fees at the resident rate.

It is limited to Texas public colleges and universities.

Application Process

The student must provide proof that the family is stationed in Texas in keeping with the North Atlantic Treaty.  The student may contact the Student Financial Services Office at 956-292-7298 for information on claiming this exemption.
