Military: Honorably Discharged, Separated or Retired Veterans who Move to Texas |

Program Purpose To provide a waiver of nonresident tuition to the veteran, his or her spouse and his or her children who move to Texas upon the members separation from the military. Qualifications To be eligible to apply for this program a student must: 1) Be a former member of the U.S. Armed Forces or former Commissioned Officers of the U.S. Public Health Service 2) Be retired or have been honorably discharged 3) Be or have been enrolled in a Texas public college or university for any term or semester that begins before the first anniversary of the member's separation 4) Meet the following requirements:
Award Amount This program permits nonresident students to pay tuition and fees at the resident rate. It is limited to Texas public colleges and universities. Application Process The student may contact the Student Financial Services Office at 956-292-7298 for information on claiming this exemption. |
