Mexican Citizens with Financial Need-Border County Waiver
Program Purpose
To waive nonresident tuition for students from Mexico with financial need. For more information visit : www.collegefortexans.com.
Qualifications
To be eligible to apply for this program the student must:
1) Be a citizen of Mexico, residing Mexico
2) Show a financial need
Award Amount
This program permits nonresident students to pay tuition and fees at the resident rate.
It is limited to Texas public universities and counties bordering Mexico.
Application Process
The student must contact the Student Financial Services office at 956-292-7298 for information on claiming this exemption. Students must be able to provide proof of meeting the program’s requirements as explained above.
