Academic Common Market Waiver |

Program Purpose To allow participants in the Academic Common Market to pay resident tuition rates if the program of study is not offered in their home state. For more information visit: www.collegefortexans.com Qualifications To be eligible to apply for this program the student must: 1) Be accepted for admission or enrolled in graduate degree programs for which Texas has gained access through the Academic Common Market 2) Be certified as a resident of Texas Also students must complete a residency questionnaire which will need to be notarized. The completed questionnaire will need to be submitted to the office of the Texas ACM coordinator. A copy of the notice of admission from the college or university must accompany the form. Award Amount The exemption can only be applied to a public college or university in a state approved to participate in the Academic Common Market coordinated by the Southern Regional Education Board. Here is a list of the current southern state that participate:
*Florida, North Carolina and Texas participate at the graduate level only. Independent (private) colleges and universities are not eligible to participate in the ACM. The exemption covers tuition & fees (other than property deposit) for the first academic year in which the student enrolls (consecutive terms).
