What forms do I need to complete to receive financial aid for study abroad courses?
A
FAFSA is required each year by the recommended deadlines in order to
determine eligibility for financial assistance.
The following are the recommended deadlines:
Fall – April 5th
Spring – September 15th
Summer – December 15th
Study Abroad form (available at Student Financial Services office)
Students must contact the Student Financial Services office for additional
information regarding their file. You can visit their office at the Student
Services Bldg Rm. 186, call them at (956) 381-2501 or email them at
finaid@panam.edu.

Do I have to pay for my study abroad courses or will financial aid cover the tuition and fees?
You will need to pay for tuition, fees and any additional charges when payment is due. Any financial aid for which you are eligible (for study abroad courses) will not be available until after the 12th class day for any Fall or Spring term and after the 4th class day for any Summer I or II session.

If you withdraw and do not complete the full study abroad course and this was the only course enrolled for, you will be responsible for paying back a certain portion of the financial aid received. For further information, the refund policy is available at the Student Financial Services website at www.panam.edu/finaid or you can find it in the university catalog.
